What a fantastic term it has been at Razzamataz Carlisle

As another year at Razzamataz Carlisle draws to a close, we want to wish you all a fantastic summer and shout about some of the wonderful things our students have been up to this term! Thank you for all your amazing feedback following our summer show, I think everyone is in agreement that it was ‘The Greatest Show’ and that is down to the commitment of our dedicated staff members and the talents, passion and energy of our amazing students. Thank you so much to everyone who came and watched and supported the school and our students, how we are going to top that next year I do not know but we are already thinking about what our theme will be next year and getting plans underway. If you haven’t ordered your DVD yet, make sure you email the office to reserve your copy! Heres a few other highlights from an incredible term!

We held workshops with West End Stars Kerry Ellis and Mark Hindle

Kerry Ellis is possibly one of the biggest Musical Theatre stars on Broadway and in the West End and we were privileged to be invited to attend a private masterclass with the star in Glasgow. Kerry listened to all our students sing and offered feedback and coaching on their songs and advice on their future careers in the industry!

Mark Hindle trained at the Northern Ballet School and has just completed a 17 month run in the West End production of Disney’s classic ‘The Lion King.’ Mark visited our school on the last day of term and taught the students choreography from the production and offered expert advice on life as a performer, how to make it in the industry and how important it is to listen to your teachers! A fantastic end to the term for all students!

We took on our biggest fundraising challenge to date

We are delighted to announce we have raised over £1000 for the Razzamataz Future Fund from our most recent fundraising event, our charity skydive! 9 thrill seeking participants took to the skies and jumped out of a plane at 15000ft all in the name of charity. As well as raising money for the Future Fund, the event has raised a further £4000 approximately for other worthy causes. Thank you to everyone who contributed and of course to the participants. What will our 2019 challenge be?

The academy is for ages 4-16 years and will take place at Harraby Community Centre form the 13th-17th August. We are taking bookings now for our free taster sessions in the new term, which begins in September. We have classes for ages 2-18 years and are proud to offer exceptional training in dance, drama and singing in an fun environment where your child can make friends, learn new skills and grow in confidence.
